Luke 9:62 (New American Standard Bible)
62But Jesus said to him, "No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
As I embark on this exciting journey with Jesus, I find myself encountering new challenges by the moment. Challenges that can be avoided and some that I have already overcame in the past but have to face again as a new creation in Christ. some of them I'll most likely face again and again.
I just came back from spending a week in Pittsburgh at MCM's school, whom by the way are raising Jesus warriors. One thing I learned is you can never learn 2 much about leadership. As I got up there, a 2 day visit to the school turned into a week by invitation, I felt really privileged. Pastor Ron Crum spoke all week there on Leadership. The first night there I asked the Holy Spirit what He would have me do while I was up there, what was He tryin' 2 show me, or teach me....BAM!!It was all on leadership, and allot of good points were made that hit home with me. It was brought to my attention that since I was 17, just about everything I set out to do in life revolved around leadership! Running crews of all sorts,(good @ bad) sports, etc. I just never noticed it. Plus I got to present or talk in front of a class of students that were all comfortable with each other, so for me it was another answer to a prayer of mine to help me get out of my comfort zone, to stop being timid!! I can't understand why people like myself where running from the Lord how we can take heart and walk up in the devils kitchen and eat a pie but when we decide to follow Christ and He gives us the grace, will, and desire to make disciples of all nations we don't know how to act???
God really showed me allot while there...Towards the end of this adventure, I was finishing up some studying( I had homework on my vacation...)...When I prayed to the Holy Spirit asking Him what would He have me do, go to MCM, or Valley Forge, or did He have bigger plans for me....maybe in another country, maybe bigger than I can ever imagine. That morning I woke up from a dream where I had returned to Gettysburg and I ran into a Pastor, long story short, he looked at me with a coffee in his hand and he had these piercing blue eyes and said, "So Daniel, you have decided to go to Valley Forge...Right?"....HA HA and he said it in a very encouraging way. (There's no shortcuts)
To some this don't seem like much, but anytime God speaks to you through scriptures or dreams or whatever the case may be, you hold on to it, praying for the next moment of clarity. Sometimes we can miss these moments...sometimes it's impossible to miss.
2And He was saying to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;
